Toxin Alert: Innocuous items in the home expose us to dangerous chemicals

According to Green America Quarterly, “there are more than 80,000 chemicals used in consumer products and manufacturing in the US, and more than 2,000 new chemicals are introduced each year.  Only about 200 have been tested for safety.”  As a young mother I was concerned about chemicals even in pacifiers.  So, I did not use them with my daughter.  Nearly 25 years ago when my daughter was born I was concerned that even pacifiers contained chemicals.  I thank my intuition for making the decision to not use them.
